The Aditya Birla Group forayed into the acrylic business with the setting up of Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd (TAF), Thailand in 1989.
We have always been laser sharp in our quality control and innovation and driven by the compelling vision of becoming the world leaders in acrylic fibre production. With access to world-class facilities, cutting-edge technology and ably supported by our state-of-the-art R&D centre in our plant in Saraburi, Thailand, with a current capacity of 120,000 tonnes per year, we are one of the key players in acrylic fibres.
Acrylic Fibre for Global Markets
We are one of the largest acrylic fibre manufacturers in the world. Our products are marketed under the brand name Birlacril™, which include high quality dyed and raw white tow, top and fibre for various end-uses such as sweaters, blankets, carpets, soft toys and awnings. With over 30 different varieties of acrylic fibre, we serve both the commodity and the specialty high-end markets. The products are sold in more than 40 countries covering all continents. The final products made with our fibres are marketed by a number of prestigious global brands in Europe and America.
