A Recyclable Membrane Since 1986
Sympatex is an ingredient brand. Since 1986, our membrane has been a benchmark for the sport and outdoor textile industry, as well for the workwear sector. For the production of our membrane we use a polyester-based plastic. A material that has excellent properties and can be recycled easily like a PET bottle.
How the Sympatex Membrane Works
Hydrophilic, i.e. water-loving, molecular chains in our membrane absorb the water vapor and discharge it to the outside. At the same time, it does not allow water or wind to penetrate from the outside and protects the body from any weather. We deliberately avoid pores in our membrane that could become clogged over time.
Closing the Textile Loop
With our recyclable PES Sympatex membrane, which has been completely climate neutral since 2017, we are laying the ideal foundations to achieve our goal of closing the loop.
