Pioneering Stretch and bluesign® Textiles
With the introduction of man-made fibres such as polyamide and elastane from the United States, Schoeller embraced a new era of textile innovation and developed elastic fabrics – including the first stretch ski pants, which soon replaced the wool trousers commonly worn at the time. In 2001, the company became the first worldwide to produce according to the ecological principles of the bluesign® system.
