Unique Properties of Pitch Based Carbon Fiber
Pitch based carbon fibers are characterized by wide variety of tensile modulus from low modulus (55GPa) to ultra high modulus (900GPa). High modulus is very attractive for applications where high stiffness and light weight are required. Carbon fiber having 900 GPa in modulus and 900 w/m K in thermal conductivity can be achieved only from pitch base.
